this is what you are to say to the israelites: i am .

Good day, Honesty: You were saying: Will we ever know? I know some aspects are really difficult. Like, Who made God? Or, What is a spirit? Was Jesus made of the same substance as God? And are the angels also made of the same substance as God? And what does it mean when it says that Jesus is God's ONLY begotten. I think it means, that Jesus is the only being that God made directly by himself. All others were made through Jesus. I know the angels are said to be spirit, fire and so is God... Maybe, the angels, God, and Jesus are the same nature.. But then too, we are also in their image. So some of these things are very hard and in the new world, it will be opened more for us, I'm sure.

Meek inheriting the earth?

what did jesus mean here (mt 5:5)?

when i ask "christians" this question , they usually have no idea.

In the Greek New Testament, “meek” is from the Greek term praus. It does not suggest weakness; rather, it denotes strength brought under control. The ancient Greeks employed the term to describe a wild horse tamed to the bridle.

Dozy, this was really good about the article you sent us to. But meek also means humble..they forgot that. They also think the earth is being destroyed. Ps. 37:29 NIV "the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever." So, I believe all groups of people who God deems good at heart will inherit the earth.. I believe the 'heavenly' ones will also be here but will have a closer relationship with God, that's all.

According to John 1:14 and Hebrews 1:8, who is Jesus?
Do you believe, as the JW's do, that Jesus is a god?

John 1:14 NIV "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

John 1:18 NIV "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the father's side, has

made him known."

So, noone has seen God (they've seen Jesus) so he must not be God..but a god, who is at the father's side who has made him know to us as the Word...

Heb. 1:8 NIV But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom. you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, you God has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy."

Okay, Honesty, so remember we are going from Greek to English. So God is Jesus' throne and he will sit at his right hand, right there as co-ruler for ever. Notice how Jesus was anointed and made to be higher than the angels because he was so faithful..sound like he is God....NOT>>>>>

Abusers and Abusees love the org...

in my experience, those who become jw's as adults (not born in) could be described as abusers or abusees.

more often than not, they have unresolved issues of abuse from their past and gravitate to the structure of the org to re-experience the controlling, abusive environment of their past as the victim or the perpetrator.

from what i've seen, the more these past abuse issues are dealt with, the less of a hold the org has on a person.

IF C T Russell indeed HAD "the truth".....wouldn't it have withstood the test of time and remained the truth if it DID have "God's spirit"?

I didn't mean Russell was perfect or had the whole truth... I meant, I believe he had God's spirit, because he had a lot of good truths. He was all wrong on prophesy but to me, had a lot of the basic doctrine good. For ex.:

Trinity(not) , Hellfire (not), using God's name, preaching, the kingdom being a government, the clergy and laity separation (not), wrong to have a controlling org., soul and spirit (pretty good def..but a little off), ghenna, hades, sheol, (not too far off). And other things..I think were pretty good. But nothing since him.......After him...alot of bad. Just my opinion...

I think you were trying to prove the trinity? I read most of it..but still don't buy it.
